Now you can set "Gmail" as the default email client on Google Chrome. This will help you to open email links directly on Gmail and also helps you to create email messages. Basically it saves our time, you don't need to follow all those steps of creating an email message.
Follow the following steps
1) Go to Chrome Browser
2) Now Sign in to your Gmail Ac
3) Now you will see a gray diamond like symbol on the Omni bar ( near bookmark symbol) click on that to have the options as shown below
4) Choose the option "Use Gmail" and click on Done
That's all about setting Gmail as the default email client.
